Preparing and staging a home to sell is not just about making the home “pretty”. While style is important, it is just as important to know what the market expectations are, budget and the ability to visualize the space in order to enhance flow and square footage. Staging also doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money, however you do need someone that can also use what is currently available to its best advantage. As a Certified Stager with a construction background, I give my sellers an edge on what will be needed to compete in a competitive market.

I live in and love Clayton North Carolina! I am married to a former Marine and have 3 children and a very special step daughter. After raising my special needs son (he has double cochlear implants), I adopted 2 siblings, one of which is also special needs. Having and raising special needs children can seem a daunting task, but the benefits I receive are priceless. I have learned infinite patience and how to think outside of the norm.


I am originally from Chicago and knew early on that I would need a warmer place to call home. Before becoming a Realtor, I was a Health Physics Technician in the Nuclear Generation Field for eleven years. In this position I had the opportunity to travel the US and have seen and lived in 49 states. My travels have given me a unique perspective of where people looking to relocate to North Carolina are coming from and what they are leaving behind. I know their market and what they may be expecting, the reality of what we have to offer, and the ability to manage those expectations. During our travels we settled for a short time in Florida where I became a Realtor. After 3 years we were transferred to Raleigh (my husband was still in Nuclear Generation) where I returned to school and received my broker’s license in NC. I have been a broker here for the past 17 years specializing in residential sales, new construction and land. I hold the SFR (Short Sales, Foreclosures, REO’s) designation. I am also a certified stager with a background in construction. With these certifications I feel I can give my clients an edge on the market.


In my spare time I teach beginning line dancing, shag and East Coast Swing 5 nights each week, and I love to make jewelry and greeting cards.

I lost my wife about 18 months ago and decided to sell my home to move closer to family. Diana was recommended to me by a contractor I had used in the past. I had no idea where to start. My wife and I had collected so much furniture and knick knacks that our home was very cluttered. She met with me, my brothers and their wives and planned out each room. Diana took a roll of painters tape and labeled every item that needed to be removed from each room and gave us a detailed worksheet for prepping the home for sale. She asked if I had a place to put the excess furnishings (we had a small storage area) and the items that did not fit , she showed us how to divide a space in the garage to neatly stack and store the remaining items. Diana was not pushy and never made us feel like our furnishings weren't up to par, she worked magic with what we had. She even came over several days to help us pack and stage the home. She also helped with the permitting process for our porch which was built without permits. We ultimately got $5,000 more than we thought possible and I thing it was due to her staging abilities. I believe she was a Godsend to us!
